In the spirit of taking measured and collective action, we would like to invite each of you who have an interest in serving in a volunteer role with RAA to participate in an upcoming Volunteer Orientation (delivered online via zoom with call-in option available).

Upcoming Volunteer Orientation Dates

In these interactive sessions, volunteers will:

  • Learn and apply our restorative approach to advocacy and action - one that honors diversity and varied life experience while acknowledging the perspective and humanity of each participant
  • Learn how to effectively articulate RAA's mission, vision, and values
  • Explore positive messaging strategies and how to avoid common pitfalls
  • Learn basic statistics on sexual harm and sex offense policy (local and national)
  • Explore and understand opposing narratives that promote carceral solutions
  • Learn how to translate personal passion into meaningful action with RAA
  • Choose an RAA working group or role to participate in

Together, we can put an end to sexual harm, promote meaningful accountability and create real safety through restorative actions and solutions, rather than perpetuating our nation's current carceral approach.
