Restorative Action Alliance (RAA) Peer Support Circles Restorative Action Alliance (RAA) Peer Support Circles are designed to provide safe spaces for individuals impacted by either sexual harm or public registration as well as people close to them. Participants will seek social connection, share ideas, learn deep listening skills and gain knowledge.

As part of our restorative practices, all incoming members agree to a set of guidelines grounded in equality, mutual respect and truth-telling before being granted entrance into a circle.

Circles are formed based on shared experience (Survivors Circle, System-Impacted Circle, Family Supporters Circle). Circles are open to individuals ages 18+.

RAA Peer Support Circle meetings use a community building healing circle model, guided by a Circle-Keeper who is responsible for helping the participants create a safe space for their conversation and monitoring the quality of the space throughout the circle.  The format starts with a circle opening ceremony such as bell ringing, reading of a poem or quote, a moment of silence and moves to heart sharing and conversation or harvesting rounds. The circle closes with a ceremony and reflection.

At this time, circles are being held in a secure virtual format and individuals from any geographic location are eligible to participate. Potential participants who are subject to probation or parole are responsible for obtaining permission from their supervising officer to participate. Please note: While healing may occur as a result of participation, circles are not therapy or case management services. Circle Keepers are equal participants and do not act as therapists or counselors in their role as Circle Keepers.
