Prison’s Tomb
By Charles Fedora
Moonlit shadows on the wall
While thumping, rattling in the hall
The Blue Backed Demons lead feet fall
And restless hearts, a beat skipped, stall.
Then the Blue Backs pass with intense light
Invading restless hearts at night
Knowing truth is hid from sight
The difference between wrong and right.
And come the Blue Backs, silently creeping
As restless hearts lay calmly sleeping
Doing time, and in time keeping
The Blue Backs leave them softly weeping.
The restless hearts may try in might
But Blue Backs come in force to fight
And our hearts must turn in fatal flight
To once again know no delight.
So the Blue Backed Demons cast their doom
Leaving fear that's mixed with gloom
Destroying hearts the wished to bloom
To watch them die in prison’s tomb.
