THE VIEW

by Charles Fedora

As something that's near or something afar,

an upsidedown view from through these bars.

By day its the clouds, by night its the stars,

a kaleidoscope view from through these bars.

No busses or trains or even a car,

a freedom less view from through these bars.

No laughter or smiles for pain is par,

a broken mans view from through these bars.

It doesn't leave bruises or visible scars,

but a death blow is struck by the view through these bars.
